Provenance Models of the EURO-CORDEX and MED-CORDEX experiment have been bias corrected by means of the scaled distribution mapping (SDM), (Switanek et al., 2017, doi.org/10.5194/hess-21-2649-2017) method. The reference period is 1980-2010 (since the historical runs are only available until 2005, years 2006-2010 have been taken from the corresponding RCP4.5 scenario). The observational data used for bias correction is a composite of DANUBECLIM (Szalai et al. , 2013; www.carpatclim-eu.org) and other freely available observational datasets: CHIRPS (Funk et al., 2015, doi:10.1038/sdata.2015.66) for precipitation, E-OBS (Heylock et al., 2008, doi:10.1029/2008JD010201) for temperature and SARAH (Pfeifroth et al., 2017, doi:10.5676/EUM_SAF_CM/SARAH/V002) for radiation.
